In 2021 I opened Studio 310 to children and parents looking for an educational activity. Each year the studio grows and I couldn't be more proud of the skills the children develop, the relationships they create and I know that God has brought me to be exactly here for this purpose.

Music for Young Children® has been teaching children from the ages of 2-10 the foundation of music education and piano playing, in a group situation, for 44 years. Today there are over 800 locations on 3 continents, confirming that we are an international leading quality program for early childhood music education.
Designed and written by an early-childhood specialist with specific qualifications not only in music education, but learning styles and learning disabilities, our method speaks directly to our students with age-appropriate activities to help develop not only their ability to play and read music, but also cognitive, physical and social skills.
MYC’s curriculum was created to build and sustain a wide and firm foundation in music education, appreciation and performance for young children. Our students not only learn how to play the piano and read music, but are also taught the other important elements (i.e. Sight-reading, composition and ensemble playing) that help create a solid, educated and well-balanced musician.

How much does it cost?
Private lessons for 30 mins is $75/month per child.
MYC classes are $76/month per child. The cost of lessons is collaboratively decided on by all teachers in the region to prevent price shopping. We offer quality lessons with regulated curriculum to ensure each child's experience is similar to the best of our abilities.
MYC versus Private lessons
Music for Young Children teaches music theory, piano skills and classroom style learning in the most fun, and unique way. The method is like nothing else! These classes are intended for children ages 3-9, with parents sitting in the classes learning alongside the child.
Private lessons are uniquely designed to fit your child specifically. We focus on growing in the areas that the student is looking to develop. Theory becomes a home activity in private lessons, but the music selection grows and children can learn to play either praise and worship, contemporary or classical music.

Do you provide exam prep?
The MYC curriculum graduates children prepared to write a Grade 4 Theory exam as well as play a Grade 1 Technical exam.
If you are looking for technical exam prep for grades 4 or older, I have some suggestions of teachers that would be better suited for your student. Exam prep is not my niche and I would rather refer you to someone else and see your child succeed than feel unprepared in sending them to an exam.
